You Lift Me Up Closes Bay Meadows

SAN MATEO, Calif. (Aug. 17, 2008) -- California-bred You Lift Me Up won Sunday’s 65,750 Last Dance Stakes for 3-year-old fillies, closing the Bay Meadows Fair in the last race ever run at the track.

You Lift Me Up is by Lord Carson, out of the Green Dancer mare Up On Her Toes, was bred by and foaled at Tommy Town Thoroughbreds, is owned by trainer Jerry Hollendorfer and George Todaro.

She has four wins in 14 starts, earnings of $124,178, she ran the 1 1/16 miles on turf in 1:44.44 and won by 2 ½ lengths at odds of 7-2.
