Cal-bred Quartet in Cavonnier

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (Aug. 1, 2008) -- Four California-breds are among six entries in Sunday’s $50,000 Cavonnier Stakes for 2-year-olds at the Sonoma County Fair.

Making Dreams is by Rio Verde, out of the Dancebel mare Living Dreams, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by Lovingier, Costello and London and trained by Walther Solis. He has one win in four starts, earnings of $47,516 and is coming off a fifth in the July 23 Graduation.

Danger is by Storm Creek, out of the Eltish mare Barbara O’Brien, was bred by Al Kirkwood, was foaled at Rancho San Miguel, is owned by HnR Nothhaft Horse Racing and trained by William Anton. The $10,000 Barretts purchase is a maiden making his third start.

Bold Reward is by Haasil, out of the Scherando mare Scher Bold, was bred by owners Joseph Morey Revocable Trust and trainer William Morey and was foaled at Rivendell Ranch. He won his lone start July 10.

Clare’s Top Choice is by Old Topper, out of the Geri mare Just By Chance, was bred by Bertha Noll Trust, is owned by George and Mary Clare Schmitt and is trained by Jeff Bonde. The $5,000 Barretts purchase is a maiden making his fourth start.
