Harlene Going Long in Cougar II

DEL MAR, Calif. (July 27, 2008) -- Harlene is the lone California-bred entered in Wednesday’s $150,000 Cougar II Handicap at 1 ½ miles at Del Mar.

Harlene is by Decarchy, out of the Chief’s Crown mare Tiara’s Glow, was bred by Magali Ventures, was foaled at Magali Farms, is owned by Claimbodotcom, Royce Jaime Racing and W.C. Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill.

The $29,000 Barretts purchase has 10 starts and one win, the Snow Chief Stakes, with earnings of $193,717. He is coming off a third in a July 19 optional claimer.
