Cheroot Returns in Wickerr
DEL MAR, Calif. (July 23, 2008) -- Cheroot returns from a three-month layoff and is the only California-bred entered in Friday’s $85,000 Wickerr Handicap at one mile on the Del Mar turf course.
Cheroot is by Smokester, out of the Far North mare Triple Connection, was bred by owner Charlotte Wrather, was foaled at Cottonwood Ranch and is trained by Darrell Vienna.
He has seven wins in 30 starts, earnings of $494,501 and is coming off a seventh in the Apr. 19 San Simeon.
