Streamin Heat Takes CTBA Stakes

DEL MAR, Calif. (July 18, 2008) -- Streamin Heat led the whole way while taking Friday’s $137,450 California Thoroughbred Breeders Association Stakes for 2-year-old California-bred fillies at Del Mar.

Streamin Heat is by Bring the Heat, out of the Lit de Justice mare Newport Nikki, was bred by Wesley Ward, is owned by Richard Ravin and trained by Ward.

She has two wins in three starts and earnings of $118,758.

Streamin Heat ran the 5 ½ furlongs in 1:03.26 and won by one-half length at odds of 7-2. Saucey Evening was second and Laird’s Lassie was third.
