DEL MAR, Calif. (July 17, 2008) --
A field of nine is entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Fleet Treat Stakes for
California-bred 3-year-old fillies at Del Mar.
Lethal Heat is by Unusual Heat, out
of the Synastry mare Lethal Leta, was bred by David Abrams, Madeline
Auerbach and Tom Roberts, foaled at Old English Rancho, is owned by
Barry Abrams, Madeline Auerbach and Ron McCauley and trained by Barry
Abrams. The Barretts graduate has four wins in six starts, earnings of
$254,028 and is coming off a sixth in the July 4 Flawlessly.
Final Fling is by Bertrando, out of
the Java Gold mare Lily La Belle, was bred by William Peeples, foaled at
Loeb Ranch, is owned by Michael House and trained by Jeff Mullins. The
$100,000 Barretts purchase has two wins in seven starts, earnings of
$180,814 and is coming off a seventh in the July 4 Flawlessly.
North Rodeo is by Stephen Got Even,
out of the Saint Ballado mare Ecclesiastes, was bred by owner Donald
Dizney, was foaled at Golden Eagle Farm and is trained by Bob Baffert.
She broke her maiden in her fifth start June 28 and has earnings of
$74,120.
Bea’s Cee is by Cee’s Tizzy, out of
the Desert Wine mare Julies Desert Star, was bred by owner Stephen Young
and is trained by Jorge Periban. She has one win in three starts,
earnings of $40,680 and is coming off a third in a July 3 allowance.
Spring Awakening is by In Excess,
out of the Carson City mare Catchofthecentury, was bred by Gerald
Frankel, was foaled at Vessels Stallion Farm and is owned by Frankel,
Strauss and Coit. She has three wins in six starts, earnings of $251,667
and is making her first start since winning the Dec. 29, 2007 California
Breeders Championship.
Gambler’s Justice is by Lit de
Justice, out of the Diesis mare Monte Carlo Miss, was bred by Suarez
Racing, was foaled at Magali Farms, is owned by Craig, Halo Farms and
Magerman and is trained by Bill Spawr. The $70,000 Barretts purchase has
two wins in seven starts, earnings of $98,420 and is coming off a fifth
in the June 8 Hollywood Oaks..
Quisisana is by Decarchy, out of
the Distinctive Cat mare Mink Kiss, was bred by Todd Gerbovaz, was
foaled at Magali Farms, is owned by Ran Jan Racing and trained by Mike
Puype. She won her lone startDec. 9, 2007 and has earnings of $17,400.
Quid Non is by Bertrando, out of
the Sky Classic mare Stormy Playmate, was bred by Matt Amberson & Allan
Gilbert, was foaled at Hideaway Farms, is owned by Magenta Racing and is
trained by Richard Rosales. The $22,000 Barretts purchase has three wins
in 10 starts, earnings of $74,160 and is coming off a June 12 allowance
win.
Stormin War Dancer is by Storm
Creek, out of the Lord at War mare Pretti Woman, was bred by James &
Tammy McKenney, was foaled at Rancho San Miguel and trained by Bill
Morey. She has three wins in five starts, earnings of $49,740 and is
coming off a three-race win streak.
